Spring has sprung and it’s a beautiful time of the year for bird feeding Crimson Rosella’s at O’Rielly’s Rainforest Retreat with Southern Cross 4WD Tours. As winter diminishes and spring brings a flood of new life and vibrant colours in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Southern Cross look forward to showing you just how vibrant this region is over the coming months.

One of the destinations you will visit on your full day tour will include bird feeding the Rosellas at O’Rielly’s Rainforest RetreatThe Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans) is a parrot native to eastern and south eastern Australia which has been introduced to New Zealand and Norfolk Island. It is commonly found in, but not restricted to, mountain forests and gardens. O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat has been a sanctuary for bird and other animal lovers since the early part of last century, and enjoys international recognition as one of the premier birdwatching locations in Australia.

These spectacular birds enjoy bird feeding just as much as their human admirers and will happily come down close to feed, providing the perfect opportunity to capture great photos.
