Experience World Heritage-listed Gondwana rainforest, picture-perfect waterfalls and scenery, unique Australian wildlife and charming hinterland hospitality, all in half a day!
Your World Heritage Tour to Natural Bridge and Springbrook National Park takes you to some of the region’s most iconic rainforests, waterfalls, panoramic lookouts and a cosy café for freshly baked afternoon tea, with full commentary throughout the tour and hotel pickup and drop-off.
Your tour begins with complimentary pick up from your central Gold Coast hotel (Main Beach, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach), and in just a short drive the busy city streets give way to the cliffs and pastures of the Numinbah Valley as you travel towards Springbrook National Park.
First stop is Natural Bridge. Take a fully guided walk through pristine subtropical rainforest to the Natural Bridge rock arch and waterfall. Inside the cave you’ll see the water cascading through the roof of the basalt cave which has been formed over millions of years – a wonderful photography opportunity. You’ll learn about the rainforest’s unique flora and fauna, and its special significance as World Heritage-listed Gondwana rainforest, during this approximately 45-minute guided circuit walk.
You’ll then journey to higher elevations within Springbrook National Park to view 4 more stunning waterfalls – Purling Brook Falls, the Twin Falls and Rainbow Falls from Canyon Lookout.
At its highest point, your guide walks you through one of the region’s last remaining pockets of Antarctic Beech rainforest featuring 3000-year old trees, before emerging at Best of All Lookout – a spectacular panorama taking in the Gold Coast, Mt Warning and the Green Cauldron of Northern NSW.
Of course you’ll need refreshments during your tour, so you’ll also stop in at a charming hinterland café for afternoon tea: freshly baked scones with jam and cream accompanied by a coffee, tea or cold drink.
All throughout the tour you’ll be on the lookout for native wildlife – from brightly coloured parrots and other rainforest birds, interesting insects, reptiles and amphibians, and even famous Australian marsupials like koalas, kangaroos and wallabies which may emerge in the cooler parts of the day on the journey home.
This is a truly personalised experience, with no more than 16 people per tour, traveling in luxury Mercedes vehicles and with commentary from a local, experienced guide all the way.
